![]() ![]() – The new VIBS for the AtGames Legends Pinball Micro should be arriving to customers very soon.– I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Enjoy this very special time of year with your loved ones, stay safe and I’ll be talking to you soon.Everyone is ok but YT is taking a backseat until we get things back to normality. – I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas! Going to be a bit slow-going here for a few weeks, son and his buddy were in a car accident.I will buy new tables + cabinet fee (it's supposed to be a "pay whatever you want" type thing - yeah, you won't guilt me into paying more than I have to) but I won't buy the "new" versions until heavily discounted.Blogs from previous years I AM a bit butt-hurt as I didn't realize that they are coming out with a new confusingly named "FX" product that'll not use Steam and forces you to purchase the "upgraded" versions of the tables. I'd gladly pay $15 to get Star Trek and other branded ones. People may scoff at the $15 price tag of the Indiana Jones, but given that it has full licenses it's well worth it to hear the music as well as the actors voices. At least the Star Wars ones have the music. I didn't buy the Universal ones because they are so sad without not only the actors but not even the music. I bought nearly all of the tables for Pinball FX3 during their summer sale and averaged 60% off (sometimes more when you get that extra 20% by buying a "pack"). ![]() My understanding is that the only way to get Pinball Arcade to work on a ALP is by paying the $150 cabinet fee from a 3rd party. It's sad when the fans even paid via Kickstarter to cover most of their major tables (that are now gone). ![]() PS5 version is broken, Windows 11 has problems and they have, of course, lost most of their licenses. I still have most tables available on my PS4 and that seems to be the only way it works well. I first purchased Pinball Arcade games in 2012 and its disappointing how they've basically given up. Looking forward to adding to the touch experience and like that the Solenoids can be inexpensively replaced if they fail. Purchased Flipper Solenoid boards from eBay. One of my flipper buttons was either broken by me (likely) during install or shipping, so it was a good excuse to purchase Goldleaf buttons. Waiting for AtGames to ship the VIBS (4 days, hasn't shipped yet) It also INCREASES the value of games with licensed/awesome music and sound actors and DECREASES the value of games when you aren't hearing those classic soundtracks and voices. Adding a subwoofer isn't likely to add as much value as I would've thought and I never would've considered how much a simple soundbar would change how the table feels. The soundbar is designed to give a 3D-like effect and it really feels that way and every mechanical sound feels. I plugged in an old Vizio soundbar (without the subwoofer) and when the volume is turned up, it truly becomes an immersive experience. Don't underestimate the value of the audio here. But WHY did they have to put those HDMI/USB ports on the top of the cabinet. I bought a cheap $100 HP Desktop and added an old Nvidia GTX 1070 and it runs Pinball FX3 at max settings flawlessly at 60 fps. The PC doesn't have to cost a lot of money either. The "stock" games seem fine, but there's only so much you can do with a PCB vs a full PC with a dedicated GPU. The reason I pulled the trigger is because of the ability to connect to a PC and have both screens controllable. It would've been nice to have these removed. There IS a bit of obessive "AtGames" and "Legends Pinball" promotions. While the artwork on the machine isn't necessarily my style, I think it looks pretty great. The screen is beautiful and bright and I'm even playing it at a low angle with no contrast or brightness issues. I can't imagine what an Arcade1Up would be with a small 25" screen. That being said, once you start playing it, size really isn't an issue and it feels quite large. I'll probably never forget the comparison video someone had on YouTube of their ALP machine right next to a Star Trek pinball game and how much smaller it was. This might be a Sams Club version, I dunno. I ordered it from eBay from a local seller to save $ on the price and shipping and was surprised that there was only 1 box instead of the 2 I've read about. It's certainly a work-in-progress as I have lots more parts on the way. Hi, I just wanted to post my initial impressions and experiences from a "first day" with the AtGames Legends Pinball. ![]()
